Sigmund Freud, Millenial Psychologist, and Biblical Psychology
Are the forefathers of psychology against psychology? What would Sigmund Freud say of the concept of biblical psychology? Listen to Dr Danzie's perspective on Biblical Psychology.
REMEMBER: If you feel hopeless, helpless, and carry some guilt and shame, it is highly advisable for you to contact a mental health help line in your country of residence. Or better still, go to see your primary health care provider like a GP and share with them how you feel. If you feel so distressed before, during, or after this program call your local emergency line. Do you know how to call your emergency service like an ambulance in your local country, city, or town? For example, in Australia this is triple zero ('000') and in America is nine 911. And remember, God loves you, and so do we!

Seasons of Life
2019Q2 – Lesson 1: The Rhythms of Life
Hi Family!
Today we start a new Adventist Reflection series on Family Seasons.
I am excited about this series because here we will have much insight into what’s God’s counsel on how to relate to one another.
Greek Philosopher Aristotle said that we, humans are “zoon politikon” - which translates as being political animals or social animals. This interests me, because, well, he was half right… we are indeed intended to be social, but we are by no means animals. This concept was later utilised somehow by Plato although not as directly seen. For Plato, we are humans who inspire each other in soul and mind, and for Him this was a concept that defines love… Both of these philosophers had one thing in common, and many others join their view, we are social beings, that have some level of interdependency, and who thrive better when engaging in healthier levels of relationships.
“For I am certain of this very thing, that he by whom the good work was started in you will make it complete till the day of Jesus Christ”...

Character Building - The Futility of Faith and Positive Thinking

The Futility of Faith and Positive Thinking
Today, our monthly character building presentation discusses the concepts of faith, positive thinking, presumption, and humans coercion towards God…
How do we exercise faith?
• Some would say it is by 'claiming God's promises.'
• But what about when that doesn't work?
• Was the problem the faith? or God?
Isaiah 43:2 - "neither shall the flames consume you"
• With that in mind, why did Huss and Jerome die?
• Why did John the Baptist die?
• Are the promises faulty?
• The promises are spiritual...
Thesis: Don't concentrate on your faith or lack of it
Hypothesis 1: The more you focus on the Giver of salvation, the more you trust Him.
Hypothesis 2: The more you trust the Giver of salvation, the more your faith develops in Him.
Hypothesis 3: The more your faith develops in the Giver, the better the quality of your faith… and everything else shall be added unto you! (quantity of your faith).
All of us have faith (trust)! Where is your faith centred?
